DC Mill-Motors, SH series
SH series DC mill-motors are specially designed for heavy-duty conditions in the iron and steel industry, for driving rolling mills and other functions. They are characterized by a robust construction, high operating reliability and short-period overloading.
They may be operated in either direction of rotation. These motors are fed from controlled rectifiers. They are fitted with thermal sensors, tachogenerators, or other options according to the customer's demands.
Speed can be controlled by armature voltage from virtually zero to a given speed at a constant torque, and further by field suppression up to the maximum rpm with a constant output. We produce high-speed and low-speed variants of these motors.
There is a wide range of electrical and mechanical applications according to the AISE (Association of Iron and Steel Engineers) recommendation. We have delivered thousands of these motors for drives in rolling mills in Central and Eastern Europe, where they have been in operation under demanding conditions for decades.
