TES VSETÍN Has Developed a Generator for Wind Power Plants

15.7.2011
TES VSETÍN, a.s., a traditional producer of rotating electrical machines, has extended its product range of specially designed wind generators, releasing a newly developed generator type (PMG), which applies permanent magnets to induce voltage in the stator.Investment costs at the height of CZK 40 000 000 made it possible to put the product on the market. Product concerned, together with the machine unit components of the wind power plant, is capable to achieve a higher electrical energy output, which is 4,7% – 8,3% higher than common, present-day generators, based on the use of power-supplied field excitation.Use of the new technology shall improve profitability of wind-power installations, especially in localities with changeable windy weather conditions. This innovation shall allow widespread of this kind of renewable energy.
